Product Review: Dove Aluminum free Deodorant

Let me just start off by saying… this is an amazing deodorant! Ok, let’s get into this!

Normally deodorant is just one of those things you do cuz you gotta do it (we all wanna smell fresh, am I right?! Well… hopefully you do). I took no pleasure in applying it, it was just another part of getting ready, like waking your face or putting on your pants. But this deodorant right here! Lemme tell yall!

I don’t have a whole lot to say about it (or do I?), but I do have to mention a few things. Firstly, it works, which is the most important thing when it comes to deodorant (remember that fresh thing I was mentioning earlier? Yeah… that). I don’t have ‘strong’sweat glands so most deodorants will work for someone like me in terms of ability to keep me fresh.

Secondly, I do have slightly sensitive underarms and I also have a condition called HS (Hidradenitis Supperativa- a condition that can cause your sweat glands to become infected, and cause very painful sometimes very large boils. I will dedicate a whole post to it at a later date). Having this condition means I can’t use really strong deodorants like Mitchum, for example, because it will cause a breakout. All that bring said, this Dove deodorant doesn’t affect me negatively at all.

I did want to know though, if it would be effective for someone who has need for a stronger deodorant than i would. So I had a loved one try it out. Not only does it work for them, but they no longer had to keep rotating different deodorants to keep fresh. This one was effective!

I’ll also give y’all a little tip, while I’m here talking about deodorants. If you notice that your once effective deodorant is no longer working, you have two options. You can switch it out for a different one (cuz sometimes your system gets used to one and it becomes ineffective) or you can use a cleanser called PanOxyl to wash your underarms. It helps to remove all the build up and ‘pent up bacteria’ that is stuck there, and gives your arm a fresh canvas to begin with again.

Now back to this Dove dream. Thirdly, it feels great! Never in all my 38 years of living have I ever enjoyed putting on deodorant. Like I said earlier, it’s just something you do. But this aluminum free deodorant feels amazing! It glides on so smoothly, doesn’t leave a white residue, and is conditioning. Like your underarms feel good after you apply it.

The scents are very pleasant and not overpowering. I go for the Shea butter scent and my loved one went for the Rose scent. I believe there are a few other ones too

I cannot believe I am online raving about DEODORANT of all things! But there you have it. That’s my review of this product.
