Coastal Scents Haul =]…

I decided to take advantage of a recent sale at Coastal Scents, and get a few items that I had been eyeing for a while. One of them was a retractable powder brush, for my travel make up kit. I was eager to have a brush that had its own cover so it wouldn’t get my kit messy during travel. The one I found seems to be of very good quality. It has very soft bristles, which should make applying and blending the powder/blush/bronzer a breeze. It comes in a sleek, red metal casing with ‘Coastal Scents’ written on the side in white. It is originally $6.95, but I got it for $3.48.

I also bought a flat top kabuki buffer brush to use when I’m applying liquid foundation, to help with a more flawless application. I also got it because sometimes it may take a while for my brushes to dry after being cleaned, so I like to have a backup brush just incase I need to do my makeup when my other one is damp. It has synthetic , two toned bristles, that are dense yet soft, and I cannot wait to try it out. It was also $3.48 on sale, but normally $6.95

A brow kit caught my eye while I was browsing so I looked further into it. It featured four shades of powder that can be used to fill in your brows. I appreciated the color range, as it would fit many different hair colors, depending on how you mix and match your colors. They give a very natural look, not ‘cakey’ or artificial. The kit comes with the 4 powders and an angled brush, in a compact with a large mirror, which is perfect for travel. I got it for $6.46, instead of $12.90.

The last thing I got was a palette I have been wanting for ages now, but it was either sold out or I refused to pay full price for it, as beautiful as it is. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE bright eye shadow. Anytime I see a palette that looks highly pigmented, with a wide array of colors, I’m immediately drawn to it. That is exactly what Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 Palette is all about. Its gorgeous! I can picture so many looks coming out of this palette, from using one shadow to add just a hint of color to an eye look, to a full blown colorful makeup do. Its usually $14.95, but was on sale for $7.98.
