Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Colorsensational

Hey everyone!
I came across this lip product in a CVS pharmacy when j was doing a little browsing. I’ve been looking for some liquid lipsticks recently,so I figured j would give this one a try.

I haven’t seen much talk about this product, but I found the words ‘vivid’ and ‘matte’ quite intriguing so I decided to try it out. I’ll start with the pros. It has a decent color payoff, and the ‘doe-foot’ type applicator is somewhat stiff, which to some people may be a con, but it’s stiffness allows for you to be very precise when applying.

Now for the cons: it has a ‘perfumy’ scent, so if you’re not into scented products then stay away. Also, you can taste the perfume (I hope that makes sense), and the flavor does not fade with wear (nor does the scent). It is also not matte. I will insert a picture to show what I mean. It is also not long lasting at all. With my normal eating and drinking, it was completely gone in 2 hours. I would somewhat expect that with a lip gloss, or even a shiny lipstick, not a ‘matte’ lip color.

All in all, I would skip on this one, unless you can stand the perfume, flavor and constant reapplication. They do have some pretty colors though. It cost around $7.49. It also does not have the color name printed on the container. All I can find is a number on the cap. I’m not sure if that will help for reference. It is ’50M901′.
